Saoirse means freedom. From the gaelic langauge that my great grandmother fought to keep alive during the years of colonization from the British. Her underground language school kept the spirit of Saoirse alive.
What is freedom to you and what types of positive action or non action allows you to access freedom, liberation, nirvana. Lets figure it out, together. . . .
Working with her own generational trauma and lived experiences for years Haley has developed a keen understanding on patterns that arise from blueprints of unchosen experiences.
Haley has always been a compassionate presence and has been a mover since a young age. She prefers to utilize the knowledge of her own inherent wisdom. As a dancer and somatic practitioner with diverse roots that include Celtic, MikMaq, and Ashkenazi German. She is a devotee of the body and soul, and believes that our wild (i.e. natural) embodiment is a portal to transform separation into wholeness and restore a reciprocal relationship with the land, community, and our own sense of self-knowledge.
With a background in the arts as well she ties together creative ways to unblock psychosomatic road bumps that arise from trauma. The healing arts is something that she herself has practiced with great success in becoming unstuck from all that holds us back on our journey of becoming, maturing, and belonging.
It is with great pleasure to be of discipline to the knowledge passed down to me to share with you In a unique unfolding way
“Somatics understands that safety, belonging, and dignity are core needs for all people. Yet, social and economic systems do not meet these needs equitably. This inequity, or systemic oppression, is one of the root causes of trauma. Understanding this, and learning to work with it effectively, can radically empower our approaches to healing, resilience building, and to social change work.”

The land itself and all the plant and animal allies that have taught her by just being in their authenticity.
‘We recognize that we are on indigenous land. In addition to the Abenaki, the broader place we now call Maine is home to the sovereign people of the Wabanaki Confederacy: the Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, Maliseet, and Mi’kmaq peoples. We exist on their unceded homelands.
We also acknowledge and hold space for the uncomfortable truths of settler colonialism, among them that the peoples indigenous to this place were often forcibly removed from this place.’
